THE CUCKOO.
1.   The cuckoo is a pretty bird, She sings as she flies
She brings us glad tidings, She tells us no lies.
2.   She sucks all sweet flowers To keep her voice clear; She never sings Cuckoo Till the summer is near.
3.   She flies the mountains over, She flies the world above,
She flies back to the mountains And mourns for her love.
4.   The cuckoo is a pretty bird, She sings as she flies;
She brings us glad tidings, She tells us no lies.
